Using OwnTake

OwnTake helps you create reaction videos with camera footage, media you select and webpages you choose to visit. These terms explain use of the app and OwnTake Pro. The app does not provide a public social feed, messaging service or hosted media library.

The app license is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These additional terms describe OwnTake's features and your use of them; they do not replace that license or reduce rights you have under applicable consumer law. If an additional term conflicts with that license on a licensing matter, the Apple license controls.

OwnTake is intended for people aged 16 and over, subject to any higher age requirement applicable to you. If you cannot enter this agreement independently where you live, your parent or guardian must authorize your use where required. The App Store age rating may vary by region and operating system and is separate from legal capacity to agree to terms.

Your recordings and other people's rights

You keep the rights you hold in your original recordings and edits. We do not take ownership of your videos or obtain a general right to publish them. Combining your work with someone else's material does not give you ownership of that material.

Only record, import, edit and share material when you have the necessary rights, permissions or other lawful basis. Obtain any consent required to record other people or conversations. Commentary, reactions and background removal do not automatically make every use of someone else's video, music, photograph, website or identity lawful. You are responsible for what you include in a recording and where you publish it.

Do not use OwnTake for unlawful surveillance, non-consensual intimate material, fraud, harassment, threats or infringement of another person's rights. Do not use it to evade access restrictions or copy protection, or present deceptive edits in a way that violates another person's rights. Respect third-party services' terms.

Browsing and recording limits

Web mode permits open-web browsing. Websites may contain material unsuitable for minors and operate under their own terms and privacy policies. OwnTake is not affiliated with or endorsed by a website merely because you can open it in the browser.

Access to a page or video does not grant permission to copy it or guarantee that it can be recorded. Protected media may produce a blank picture or no audio. OwnTake does not bypass those protections. A Web recording may include visible private information, such as messages, account details or addresses; review it before sharing.

Camera combinations, formats and features depend on your device and operating system. Cutout quality depends on lighting, movement and the scene. Exporting may take longer than the recorded clip, particularly when refining background removal. Device storage, power, temperature, interruptions and third-party behavior can affect recording and export. No specific recording result, export time, audience, income or social-platform acceptance is promised.

Local projects and exports

Projects and their source recordings are stored on your device. There is no OwnTake cloud project-recovery service. Keep copies of important original media and review your completed exports.

Export creates a finished video in OwnTake, then offers Share, Save to Photos and Save to Files. You choose where to send or save it. Deleting a local project or deleting the app can permanently remove local source recordings, edits and exports. It does not remove copies already saved to Photos, another app, a recipient or a backup. Device backups are controlled separately through your Apple settings.

Free features and OwnTake Pro

The free version permits takes up to 60 seconds and exports of three distinct projects. Exporting a previously counted project again does not use another project allowance. Deleting a project does not restore that allowance. Free exports include a moving OwnTake watermark. You can continue recording and editing after using the free export allowance.

An active OwnTake Pro subscription provides unlimited project exports, removes OwnTake's recording-duration cap and OwnTake export watermark, and enables your own optional name watermark. Device capability, storage, battery, interruptions, available source material and third-party restrictions still apply.

If Pro expires or is revoked, existing editable local projects remain available, and later recordings and exports follow the free limits. Videos already exported are not changed retrospectively. Restoring an eligible Apple purchase restores Pro access; it does not restore local videos that were deleted or never backed up.

Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

OwnTake Pro is offered through Apple's in-app purchase system in monthly and yearly billing periods. The purchase screen and Apple's confirmation show the available plan, local price and billing period before you authorize payment. Those displayed purchase terms control; prices and availability may vary by storefront. Opening OwnTake, Settings or the upgrade page does not start a subscription.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through your Apple Account. Your Apple Account is charged under the terms shown by Apple when you purchase. To avoid the next renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Cancellation normally stops future renewals while access continues through the paid period, unless Apple ends or revokes the entitlement earlier.

Use Restore Purchases to restore an eligible purchase associated with your Apple Account and Manage Subscription to review or cancel a plan. Any trial or promotional offer applies only if it is expressly displayed when you purchase and you are eligible for it. Apple handles billing and refund requests, subject to applicable law. Support, privacy and updates

You can contact us through the support details above or use the feedback option in Settings. Sharing a diagnostic report is optional. Do not include passwords, private recordings or other sensitive information unless necessary for your request. Our Privacy Policy explains the data processed by the app and information you choose to send us.

We may update OwnTake to improve features, compatibility, performance or security. Material changes to these terms will be identified by a new effective date, with notice or consent where required. Changes do not remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. The current terms are available at https://visit.own-take.com/terms.
